The Beginning of the Beginning
I have officially started work as of today. Woke up considerably later than what I used to and made my way to Nishi Chiba station where my first port of call would be. I hadn't been to this school before and I had to be ther by 0900 to start my 0915 class. Armed with a map of the area surrounding the station, I began to search for this elusive school. However, true to form, I managed to get a little lost and had to accost someone to give me some directions. I DID manage to get to school on time though.
The kids were a little shy, but that's to be expected with a new teacher. I only have the one class on Mondays so I basically finish work at 1000 and can head on home pretty much immediately after I'm done.
No such luck with the other schools although I will be back home in time for lunch on most days. Fridays are going to be brutal. I'll see how I manage this week.
Am currently in the Interac office waiting to go to another school meeting. I haven't been introduced to the last two schools and will be going to Shinjyuku Elementary (no, not THAT Shinjuku) at 1245 or so. The rest of the day after that is mine. ALL MINE!!!! WAHAHAHA ... *hack* *cough* ... ugh ...

Vampire Gigolo
Yes. That is right. I am currently sitting in front of my telly, with Nick, watching a very strange Goth-type programme called Vampire Gigolo. We just happened to stumble across this after another very strange programme. It seems like late-night Japanese telly gets progressively stranger the later it gets, Prior to this Vampire Gigolo, there was a show showing some sort of strange cos-play involving a man playing a baby and a women clad in a very small bikini.
Oh ... update ... on this Vampire Gigolo, I just saw a man armed with a bag of corn snacks take on seven armed policemen. And ths vampire is parading around in daylight and eating vast quantities of garlic-coated gyoza. I guess Japanese vampires are only succeptible to ratings.
The heroine of the story just cut herself on ... something ... and the vampire was about to go into a blood frenzy but she stopped him with a well-timed ... 'chotto!' (Oy).
What on earth is up with Japanese broadcasting?!

IT LIVES!!!
Apologies for the long silence. My motherboard decided to die a horrible, albeit silent, death prompting me to disembowel it in the vain attempt of finding out what ailed it.
I went to Akiba today to get myself a new mobo and have just reinstalled it and mated it to the rest of my mystical 'Box of Magicks'.
Initial prognosis looks good.
Word to the wise, if you hear any profanity coming from the general direction of the north, it's probably me and that means that my poor puter is a corpse and that I am no Dr. Frankenstein.
