ugh ... I am dead on my feet.
My body officially hates me.
Jay and I went to the Nagisa Music Festival to celebrate my 26th.
And what a celebration it was too. Despite Jin and Tomoko not being here, and Sean and Tomoko not being free, Jay and I had a fantastic time.
Admittedly, things looked bleak at the start of the day. Rain. And it was an outdoor party we were going to. Poo!
Right then. Take along with me raincoat, change of clothes, towel, umbrella.
By the time we got there at 1130, it was still raining lightly and decisions, decisions ... should we take our raincoats with us? Hmm ... if it didn't rain later, we'd be lugging around dead weight. If it did, we'd be ok.
We rolled the dice and decided to leave our raincoats and bags in the coin locker in the shopping centre taking only our towels.
Half an hour after we entered the festival grounds, the rain got heavier and we were beginning to see the foolishness of our ways. Still, we'd been dancing since we got there and weren't feeling the effects of the rain at all. (Mum, I know what you're going to say).
Fortunately, not long after that, the rain stopped and the weather was great. Not sunny at all and not too cold. Magnifico!
Jay spread the word that it was my birthday to everyone we met. So I got lots of hugs, handshakes and quite a few drinks. 3 beers, a shot of whiskey, and a couple of glasses of wine. Ahh ... I love partying in Japan. Complete strangers will buy you a drink without hesitation.
And in spite of it being a rather nippy 19 degrees, some of the girls were wearing ... well ... not much at all. In the evening, one girl took off her top and danced around in her black bra.
*sigh* Is wonderful...
So, I've just got home. It's 2346 now. Just got a call from my parents (Happy Birthday, Dad!) and am now going to collapse and do my best imitation of a pile of clothes.
Have some party pics:

Wait ... who took this pic? I'm supposed to be in it.
See? That's me behind that hand!
