Socks! Can you believe it? My socks are actually wearing down to near-unacceptable levels.

I have decided to start a slush fund to cater to my gadget lust!
Too often have I found myself faced with a desperate and unyielding need to acquire the latest shiny thing that beckons siren-like from behind the glass and yet my inner pleadings are soundly struck down by a lack of funds (specifically, a lack of expendable funds that are not labeled "For Emergencies Only").

I have discovered in the last two months that a) because of my evening classes, and b) because I don't go out partying nearly as much any more (maybe once every4 months or so), I am in the fairly fortunate position of being firmly in the black and being able to save double what I'm used to. Half going to my normal 'rainy day' account and the other half being set aside as a slush fund for potential shiny toys. I can potentially keep this up for at least the next 3 months which coincidentally is exactly enough for that new laptop that's competing with Ets for my attention.

I took Ets to a party last weekend at Raver's. It's been quite a long time since I was last there and felt it would be nice to hang out with the guys again. It was glass-cutting-nipple cold but there was a nice big fire and some stoves to keep us warm.
